Summer Reading 2023

Summer Reading 2023!

Kids Summer Reading

For Babies & Kids up to Grade 6

Program Dates:

Tuesday, June 20, 2023 - Friday, August 11, 2023

  • Color in each day you read (or are read to by someone else) on your paper calendar - available to pick up starting June 20.
  • Earn a raffle ticket for each day you color in. Visit the library to receive tickets and spin the wheel for a chance to win more tickets or a prize!
  • Raffle winners will be chosen every week. It is possible to win more than one raffle prize throughout the program!

What counts as reading?

  • You can read: print books, ebooks, magazines, graphic novels, comics, and newspapers.
  • You can listen to audiobooks on CD, eAudiobooks, Wonderbooks, and Playaways.
  • Someone can read to you, you can read to your siblings, your parents, your cousin, your dog, your pet rock - the list is endless!

How much do I have to read to color in a day on my paper calendar?

  • There is no required reading amount. The library just wants to encourage kids to Read Everyday! As long as you have read something that day, you can color in or mark off that day on your calendar. (Caregivers may create their own reading requirements if they wish!)
