It's our annual Trick-or-Treat parade! Meet in the Children's Room prior to 11:00 am and go Trick-or-Treating at the Library, Senior Center, and Town Hall. All ages are welcome. Wear your costumes and bring a bag/bucket for candy! Peanut-free treats will be available.

*Please sign up online so we know how much candy to purchase!

(*If you sign up and are unable to attend, you DO NOT need to contact us! We will gladly consume the extra candy.)

Two Entry Levels

Kids: Ages 7-12
Teens: Ages 13-18

Submissions must be no longer than 1000 words. Paper entries must be typed, stapled (if needed) and have a cover page with the title, your name, and contact info. Stories may also be emailed to the Youth Services Director @

Prizes will be awarded to 1st place, 2nd place, and honorable mention. Winning stories will be announced before Halloween and will be published on our website.

Contest entries are due by Saturday, October 19th @ 3:00 pm (if submitting a paper version) or 9:00 pm if submitting by email.

Drop-in Storytimes & Other Programs for Littles

Storytimes occur in sessions throughout the school year. Programs are subject to cancellation for the following reasons: School closings or delays, absent program coordinators. *Regular Storytimes do not run during the summer. 

Each program is geared towards a certain age group, but older and younger siblings are welcome to attend. Registration is not required. Please visit our Event Calendar or the Kids & Family Programs page for upcoming programs. 

Parents Please Note: 
Children ages 10 and under must be accompanied by an adult. Under no circumstances should a child be left unattended in the Children's Room, while the adult is in another part of the building. If your child is attending a program that does not require a caregiver to be present, you must remain in the building at all times should an emergency arise. Please read the Library's Unattended Children policy for more information.
